Pamela G. Wilson encourages fellow African Americans to adopt a Biblical Worldview. That often means removing racialist badges of victimization, abandoning the race card, and discarding secular views and practices.
CHRISTIAN UNITY SUPERSEDES RACIAL UNITY
Many leaders continue to promote racial perspectives on various issues as they call for Black unity across different religious beliefs. But Christians must focus first and foremost on Jesus Christ.
HOW WOULD JESUS VOTE?
We know from His own words He was pro-children, pro-family and pro-prayer. Still many "believers" abandon major faith principles when voting - mostly due to tradition. Since the mid 1960s some 80 percent of black voters in all presidential general elections have voted for one party even if it means supporting abortion proponents.
CAN'T YOUHEAR THEIR TINY CRIES?
For decades various interest groups have argued over abortion. But Black Christians seem silent about the plight of the unborn, even though Black women are three times as likely as white women to have an abortion; and more Blacks have died from being aborted since 1973 than from AIDS, cancer, heart disease, violent crimes, and accidents combined.
HE PUTS DOWN ONE, AND SETS UP ANOTHER
While there's no denying the legacy of racial injustice in this country, minorities today have more opportunities than ever. Besides, God not the government is the true equalizer. It's time to examine affirmative action from a Biblical perspective.
Finding Soul Brothers presents a strong message requiring self-examination, but the book is not just for Black Christians. It's for anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and for those who are still seeking a closer relationship with Him. It's for people who value Christian unity. And it's an insightful tool for church leaders. In order to create real “Soul Brotherhood†Christians of all walks of life must collectively tackle divided loyalties - a hindrance to unity in the church today.
